February is done, and in classic Kesha manner, I am 7 days late with this post. But, hey, I've been so busy with some new content and new projects that I am so so excited to talk about. Overall, February was a pretty okay month. This winter has gone by surprisingly quickly. With spring break (for Canadian's anyway) starting on Monday for the public school system, all us seniors are pretty hyped to be able to take a break from this hectic year. I know I am. Although, that being said, this upcoming week is going to be PACKED. Between getting to work with some people that I've been meaning to work with for a while now, and creating new stuff for you guys to see, I'm super excited about April. But, before we get into the upcoming stuff, I want to talk about some of the things that's helped me immensely throughout the gross month of February and some of my favourite products.
From articles, to podcasts, to everyday lifestyle items, I've read, and listened and worked on self bettering myself throughout this month. So, here are my February favourite's:
LIFE STLYE FAVOURITE

Okay, so this is a pretty straight forward favourite. This diffuser has honestly been AMAZING. Like if I could recommend anything in my room right now it would be my defuser. I use lemongrass oils in the morning or during the day and then a lavender oil in the evening. Diffusers are honestly life changing. They aren't too strong and barely make any sound. Mine also changes colour depending on the setting which is fun. But the diffuser is great because you can change the scents, it's super small, so it doesn't take up much space on your bed side table, or wherever you decide to put it in your house or apartment. It's great because it comes in a bunch of different colours/styles, so you can find one that fits your "aesthetic". They're also super affordable, making them a great gift for people. I really like mine because the various oils that I use, I find are super soothing/refreshing. The lavender oil is fantastic right before I go to bed. Although I am not one to believe completely in herbal remedies, I can definitely say that these oils have their relaxing/refreshing qualities.
THIS MONTHS LISTENS
As, I've learned more and more about podcasts, expanding my taste in music, and different things to listen to I've definitely had some favourite's this month.

First off, I use Spotify to listen to all my music and most of the podcasts that I listen to as well. I really like how easy it is to use, and it's got so much variety, and is constantly suggesting music for you. I have so many different public playlists and follow so many great playlists on Spotify that as someone who constantly has earbuds in, or speakers connected to her phone/laptop I'm never bored of anything I listen to.

My playlist of music the past few months has really changed. I don't think there's a genre of music that I haven't listened to. I've been loving Quinn XCII, EDEN and some other artists that will be listed in the Spotify playlist below. Music is something that I've grown to love and really not be able to live without. I listen to music any chance in the day that I get. Whether it's as soon as I wake up in the morning to when I'm walking in between classes. It's something that I find can be both background noise, but it can also be something that I can relate to. (Kesh, this is getting too cheesy stop). ANYWAYS, I've attached the link below if you want to take a look at what I'm listening to right now.
If you want to listen to the Winter Faves playlist: ( https://open.spotify.com/playlist/3gsByJvBMhRhzYJi7IWxsP )
On top of all of the music that I listen to, there are also some pretty great podcasts that I've been loving recently. I talk a lot about the first few in another post on this blog (https://kmcinnesphotograph.wixsite.com/kmcinnes/post/grow-your-blog-community ) so if you want to read about the podcasts that I'm listening take a look at that link there. I'll do a more updated post in a couple weeks, as there is a few more new one's that I've been really enjoying.
TV SHOWS/ Youtube
TV shows are something that I live vicariously through. TV shows are great, sometimes really dangerous, if you're like me and like to binge watch shows. Youtube is a little bit similar, in the sense that there's constantly new content, but here are some of the TV shows, and Youtube channel's I've been following recently and watching. If you have any of these youtubers in your sub box, or any of these TV shows on your list of things to watch let me know!
SCANDAL
The first TV show I want to show you is Scandal. Probably one of the best TV shows that I have watched in SUCH a long time. The show takes place in Washington DC, full of drama, legal stuff, and SO MUCH MORE. I am absolutely in love with this show and it's REAL dangerous because there is 7 seasons and I'm already on season 2. I started a week ago. RIP.
Anyways, totally worth the watch. If you want to learn more about the show, then click on the photo and it'll take you to the IMDB page.
RIVERDALE
The most classic of classic teen TV shows right now. Riverdale is honestly a great show. As someone who read the Archie comics as a kid, this show makes me genuinely so happy. Not necessarily even for the plot but being able to see the characters come to life. It's full of crime, suspense, and of course classic love stories. It's a great show if you're at home sick and need a good show to binge watch. The show leaves you on so many cliff hangers that you have to keep watching. Click on the photo to learn more. I 10/10 would recommend this.
SUITS
Yet again another legal show that I've been able to binge watch. I'm a little late on this bandwagon but I fell in love with this show SO FAST. The characters are great. The comedy and humour in this show is FANTASTIC. The casting is GREAT. AND guys, it's filmed in Toronto! Which for those of you who don't know is not SUPER far from Ottawa. But, still, it's a really great show if you want something that will last you for a while. With all of the seasons, there's new drama, and new cases every episode and re occurring issues throughout the seasons. It's super captivating and definitely worth the watch.
HEARTLAND
A multi-generational Canadian TV show, Heartland is the most wholesome TV show on my list right now. It's so entertaining, the characters are so easily liked and honestly a fairly good story line. As someone who loves horses, this show is something that gives me that horse-fix every week. I started this show about a year ago and fell in love SO fast. It's captivating, wholesome, and really cool to see a show, that's gone on for so long and has so many generations in it. I totally recommend this!
YOUTUBE
Okay, so enough about TV shows, let's talk Youtube. Youtube is something that I've really enjoyed this month and really recently. My Youtube sub box is pretty basic. It's filled with life style Youtuber's and cinematography (travel videos etc. etc.). I've recently been really trying to get into videography a little bit more than I have in the past. The art of editing video is something that really interests me. So, thank god for Youtube because I've really found some Youtuber's who I have learned from, and also appreciate their content.
ALISHA MARIE

Okay, so this girl is absolutely amazing. Her content has so much thought put into it, and so unbelievably entertaining. Recently having released merch, and working every week on a podcast called "Pretty Basic" with her best friend. She's really cool. Her content is real, and so well done. She's a beauty/life style/comedy skit Youtuber with so much talent. She's the one I'll watch every time she uploads and I'm never bored.
Her Instagram is SO NICE. Like the theme she's got going, and her editing style is 10/10! One of the most real influencers that I've seen, I would check her out, even if it's to look at her feed.
ASHLEY NICHOLE

So, this is Alisha's sister. And recently I've been watching more and more of her video's and I've fallen in love. With a completely different aesthetic than her sister Alisha, Ashley captures a more lifestyle, and fashion approach to her channel, Ashley captures her audience and has also an aesthetically pleasing feed. The two are not comparable, but they are absolutely amazing. Ashley has some great videos that are totally worth checking out!
JOEY KIDNEY

Youtube: Joey Kidney
An Ottawa based Youtuber, Joey has so much to say. Creating cinematographic content as well as sit down videos and the occasional vlog, Joey has really powerful content. As someone who advocates for mental health, it is really cool to see someone in the influencer industry share their stories, and share their passions revolving around mental health. Joey is a Youtuber, photographer, and has recently started doing these "Stay You" shows where he sits down and chats with his fans and supporters. I am so bummed I couldn't make it to the Ottawa show, but hopefully there will be others. I would definitely check out his content if I were you.
JESS CONTE

Youtube: Jess Conte
Jess Conte is probably one of the happiest people I watch on Youtube. Her smile is probably one of the most contagious things. Originally from Australia, Jess is now living in California with her husband Gabriel and their ADORABLE dog Milo. Jess's Youtube channel is a combination of both life style and singing covers of songs. The vlog channel she shares with her husband is hilarious and 10/10 worth the watch. She recently started her business called Harper and Willow which is a stationary company with various different products. Spreading happiness and joy throughout the world. Jess is actually why I started my "25 days of Kindness" on my Instagram. I wasn't able to buy her product so I figured I would do a version of my own. Check out her content!!
SAM KOLDER
Instagram: @samkolder
Youtube: Kold
Sam Kolder is probably one of the most inspiring cinematographers out there. His content is inspiring, beautifully shot, and visually stunning. Sam Kolder takes a cinematographic take on vlogging. The "short films" as I like to call them are so well done, and so carefully edited. Honestly, the number of times that I have watched the same videos. THEY'RE AMAZING!
His work with organizations working on saving wildlife is so well shot, and well done. I am always inspired by his work and continue to follow the adventures he goes on. Check out his work on Youtube!!
UPDATE: NEW PROJECTS
Well, after the very long list of favourite's, if you've made it this far, then you're amazing and thank you for sticking with me. The biggest update I have for you guys is the fact that I've started a podcast! My friend Caitlyn and I have recently started a podcast called "Aren't you a Little Young". The podcast has one goal. That goal is to spread stories of youth and young creators who have been deemed to be "too young" or "not good enough". If you want to check it out PLEASE do. We've currently got three episode's up, and more to come. I'm so excited to jump on this and really let it take off. If anyone wants to sit down and hop on an episode let me know :) Caitlyn and I are always looking for people to get on an episode.
